Issued for Black Friday 2022, this ‘RSD First’ release is limited to 500 copies. In addition to a single vinyl disc, a bonus CD, featuring the performance, is also included. The sleeve features comprehensive liner notes approved by the band.

Formed in 1970 by Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell and Dan Peek, America achieved massive global success with their signature acoustic sound and vocal harmonies.

This album presents the band’s legendary set at the Goodbye Summer Festival, held at The Oval, in London, on 18 September 1971. Featured, are essential cuts such as Riverside, Sandman, I Need You and more.

Organised to help raise funds for the humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh, the Goodbye Summer Festival drew an estimated crowd of between 35,000 and 40,000. Headlining the bill were The Who and The Faces, alongside Mott the Hoople, Lindisfarne, Atomic Rooster and more.
