Pink Floyd – Live at the Fillmore West (4-LP Colour Vinyl Bundle)

This unmissable four-disc bundle showcases Pink Floyd’s mesmerising concert at the iconic Fillmore West, in San Francisco, on 29 April 1970, in its entirety.

Recorded on Pink Floyd’s third American tour, this show sees the band performing to a particularly attentive audience, facilitating a more intimate and focused performance than other dates on the tour.

The set begins in a quiet, pastoral manner and continues to build in intensity as the performance progresses. Of particular note, in the opening phase, are Cymbaline, an early version of the Atom Heart Mother suite, known as The Amazing Pudding, as well as the unreleased Embryo.

After the acoustic, Green Is the Colour, the band takes off into the outer realms of musical exploration for the rest of the evening. The last three compositions, in particular, show the band in an adventurous mood with standout performances. Following Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, and a marathon, 22-plus minute encore of A Saucerful of Secrets, the band returns for a rare second encore of Interstellar Overdrive.

This is an earnest document of an iconic band during a crucial point in their career.
